At Prestwood Infant School, we aim to help children develop a lively, enquiring mind and to encourage them to question and evaluate all things in a happy and caring environment. We hope to foster stability and self-control, which will help the children to cope with problems of all kinds. Our purpose is to increase their ability to concentrate and apply themselves to tasks. We endeavour to help the gradual unfolding of talents and personality in all children and to encourage independence and responsibility. At Prestwood Infant School all pupils share the statutory entitlement of a broad and balanced curriculum which is relevant to their particular needs and takes into account the framework of the National Curriculum. We supply quality education for the children for whom we are funded by Buckinghamshire County Council.
In addition to the above, we also seek to develop the children's growth of personality and social skills. Children are encouraged to develop their confidence and sense of self-worth in a caring environment. It is our intention that the school remains happy and caring with an ordered, stimulating and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning.
